The value of practical leadership experience

I would say 90% of what I talk about is what I've learned practically from running the businesses in my mid career or from other leaders over the last 20 years.

It's been a fantastic privilege. I facilitated 800 meetings online and offline over the 20 years. Each meetings was six to twelve business leaders talking about half a dozen business challenges.

That's a phenomenal amount of information that's gone into my brain. That means I've spotted some patterns. There are some common things that challenge people. The most obvious one being imposter syndrome. And it's lonely at the top!  There are many other things where I think, I've seen this before and I've seen what happens.

That's what makes me valuable in being able to write a book, speak, coach and mentor.
